Zero Waste Cleaning Guide and Chore Schedule

zero waste cleaning

I’ve heard you all loud and clear so I finally have all of the zero waste cleaning recipes I use in ONE place! And…Yes, there’s more!  I’ve also compiled it all into a handy-dandy, downloadable PDF (Zero Waste Cleaning Guide) for you to use whenever you’d like!

I’m one of those crazy people who like lists and chart sheets. I don’t know what it is about them but they just give me solace in knowing what needs to be done and when. Clutter and mess affect my stress and anxiety so there’s just no place for it in my life. Despite us owning very little when it comes to “stuff”, our house still gets dirty. We have 7 pets and a toddler so yes, messes happen constantly!

There’s the constant influx of dirty laundry, smeared handprints all over everything, diaper blowouts, pet messes, dirty dishes, and the list forever continues. Probably the typical issues a household has. I wish I could just hire a personal housekeeper. I’ll just keep dreaming about that.

This chore schedule is what I do to keep my house tidy. I try to do a little bit every day for about 10-15 minutes because once the weekend gets here, cleaning my house the entire day is the LAST thing I want to do. Especially now that’s warm outside. I’d rather be spending time with my family, spending time in nature, and “collecting moments.”

To download, please click the image above. This will download a zip file containing the Chore Schedule pictured below, and 4 Cleaning Recipe sheets. If you do not see the download, please make sure pop-ups are not blocked. I’ve tested this on IE, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Android. If you continue to have issues, send me an email with your information and I’ll make sure you get a copy.

    • Hi Helen! So sorry you are having issues. Make sure you unblock pop ups. Once you click the image, the download should start. Email me at zerowastenerd@gmail.com if you keep experiencing issues. I’ll make sure you get a copy. 🙂

  1. This is cool but I would have rather a checklist sort of deal for the planner. The reason being is that many, like my family and I, are disabled and what you have listed there can take a month or more to complete, not a week. It is often taken for granted that doing a whole room of chores for an abled person is usually nothing but for disabled people can struggle with it for a month, or even, never get anything done because it is presented as insurmountable to ability. I love the zero waste and cleaning communities but sadly am often left feeling forgotten do to oversight.

    • I’m so, so sorry that you feel I’ve left you out in some way. My intent with my posts, tips, and guides is to never make anyone feel forgotten. My cleaning guide is merely that, a guide. Definitely not a rule in that if you fail to complete all tasks in a day you fail. If that were the case I’d fail every single day because the number of days I’ve completed all of those things at once is 0. I merely use it as a way to focus any leftover time I have in one area. So, if I only have time to dust my bedroom on Monday, so be it. If you’d like to email me at zerowastenerd@gmail.com, I’d love to discuss with you further to make this more inclusive. I’d love to have your input.
