Hi Megean! I found out today that the Price Chopper in South Kansas City also sells bulk food. It's not the premium quality you would find at a natural food store or co-op, but they have a wide selection and its definitely an affordable option to add to your list!
That's fantastic! I'll get it added to the list. Thanks, Jess! 🙂
WOW, this is an amazing list!! Just getting started trying to learn to be more sustainable and live a zero waste/plastic free lifestyle in the KC area. THANK YOU!!
I'm a KC resident and I just learned that pet food bags are not recyclable. I was searching for bulk feed does that will allow me to bring my own sack, and I found this site instead. How wonderful! I really appreciate this resource and I look forward to reading more of your content. Thank you!
Yes, sadly they are not. Terracycle does offer recycling programs on certain bags. I just opt for the biggest bag I can buy until a bulk pet food store opens in KC. 😉
I'm so happy you found my blog! I hope my tips and tricks can be beneficial!

I'm a long time KC resident transitioning to a zero waste lifestyle. Thank you so much for your list! Anyone know of a place to get zero waste tofu??
I have not come across any, yet. But keep your eye's peeled for tofu in deli's. 🙂
Let me know if you find any!!!!
I've read online that Asian/Korean markets sell tofu in bulk but I have yet to search out any in KC.
